With a visit to the memorial in Auschwitz, a workshop with a contemporary witness (Ruth Winkelmann), participation in the maintenance of stumbling stones in Reinickendorf and cooperation with the project 7mal Jung, a space for reflection opens up that leads to an artistic process for the students.
Why should we remember the victims of National Socialism? What of it still affects us? Where do we still find parallels today? What makes us the same or different? And how can we build an emphatic society in which history does not repeat itself?
These questions are the first impulses for an artistic debate in which we question the past and the present and leave a message for the future.
